It’s a wire for direct burial underground, also called locating wire, helps to locate the pipes or other utilities under the ground. The wire is to be buried alongside the pipes. It’s a single solid conductor wire, commonly with HMWPE (high molecular weight polyethylene) insulation which is excellent properties on moisture resistance.
